Works well, i havent had any bugs, you just have to be sure to read the release notes before updating, as there are breaking changes

It frames it as a payment and not a donation, more people buy it when its like that

tldr is that you can hide the button that asks for payment and it says "purchase immich" instead of "purchase liscence"
fedilink

the project is still in alpha, its normal they have breaking changes

https://github.com/immich-app/immich/discussions/11186

Tldr is that theyre going for a winrar model where you have an infinite free trial, but the app is technically paid

They stopped accepting donations, like 2 months ago, but they accepted donations before, you know how much money they made off donations? Less than they made off the liscence in the first day it was released

Except this makes them a LOT more money than what you’re suggesting, and also theyre trying to normalise the winrar model in oss

For twitter links try libredirect, it automatically sends you to a nitter instance

Yes you can, you just cant change the payment links

Hardware support is perfect on linux and they allow you to buy it without paying for a windows liscence

You may want to try oit magic earth or organic maps, although i personally dont like them as much

Openstreetmaps data is very good, and several degoogled custom roms support android auto (/e/os comes to mind) and the paid version of osmand has android auto support, the free version of the (inferior)agic earth does too

Oh awesome, its nice to know that immich will add photo editing soon!

He called a liscence that doesnt allow redistribution that changes the donation link or copying the branding “open source”, which it is it’s just a bit more restrictive

Its for blind people, it let’s them know what is in images using a screen reader, just because it doesn’t apply to you doesn’t mean it’s useless

As a selfhoster, the way systemd does logs is great, I love it. Oh, and also if you want you can tell systemd to save the logs to files, it’s an option

Ah OK, you could probably still find good deals on PC parts but it must be harder over there

Btw you can use stremio to get the resolutions you paid for

awesome! By the way they are gonna do an overhaul of the ui on popos, look up “pop_os cosmic”

There’s a lot of work going into nvidia on linux ATM, so its improving pretty fast, but Also you can get a faster amd GPU with the money you can get from selling your 2080 ti

Congrats, I’d recommend Linux mint. Feel free to DM me/reply to this comment if you have any questions

not a fan of brave as a company, but their ai search does that.
