I can’t stand /r/piracy anymore. it has devolved into… what’s a torrent? is this site ok? what country doesn’t care about piracy? its clear a lot of the older pirates have left. but I can’t find them. not sire how big this community is but the news post I see is 4 days old…
1. Posts must be related to the discussion of digital piracy
2. Don’t request invites, trade, sell, or self-promote
3. Don’t request or link to specific pirated titles, including DMs
4. Don’t submit low-quality posts, be entitled, or harass others

Ah yes, gatekeeping people who are new and asking for help.
A great way to build a thriving community that will be doing great 10 years from now, by alienating all the new people who are starting to take an interest and ask for some advice.
I’m not gatekepping or alienating… people are still answering their questions.
stop acting like google and a fully fleshed out sidebar and wiki don’t exist.
New people will be unsure, even with the resources. Gatekeeping this could be avoided by simply linking to the correct part in the Sidebar/Megathread.
