Hi, I’ve been using Instander for some time, but even the early beta is outdated by now, and doesn’t work correctly. Does anyone have any recommendations on good Instagram mods? I know about AeroInsta, Honista, MyInsta and few others, but not sure which are safe.
PS: please tell me if this isn’t the right community for this question, I’m not sure but it seems like the best one
PPS: I know precisely how bad instagram is, and I still want/need to use it, so please don’t waste your time telling me that.
I’m currently using Distraction Free Instagram which allowed me to disable the explore and reels tabs. Also appears to block ads. Sadly not open-source
I agree, I am not the one that made the app. But anyway it’s exactly the same with github apk releases. Just build the app with the code and compare I guess ?

That’s an unconventional way of sharing source. How do we know the built apk is built from that source?

Tried it but nothing showing up in the feed.

Take a look at the settings
Is the ad blocking a separate option somewhere? There are sponsored posts in the feed for me.
Edit: it also doesn’t do what it says on the tin, it goes right back to the suggested posts if there are no new ones from people you follow.
