This is good in terms of carbon offset (better then fossil fuels); however, small form nuclear reactors create more, (currently) unmitigatable, nuclear waste. IMO it’s good stop gap, but hardly sustainable. The spent fuel rods, iirc, aren’t able to be refurbished/re-used so they’ll have to be securely stored somewhere for thousands of years until they’re safe to dispose of regularly.
