Not too experienced with it but my understanding is:
RD caches files. You aren’t torrenting directly, but rather you ask for the file associated with a link, and then download it directly
Pretty sure you can travel all you want. It’s only a problem if two locations are using it at the same time?

These are correct answers, but to add some detail to #1: Real-Debrid downloads the torrents on their servers and you stream them from those same servers. Because your traffic is encrypted over https you do not need to use a VPN. Your ISP can only see a connection to the r-d server, not what you are streaming.
Fwiw, I use nordvpn and real debrid works great.if your like me and trying to use it anonymously as possible you can pay with Bitcoin. RD has a list of VPNs they say are allowed.
