Because your traffic is encrypted over https you do not need to use a VPN. Your ISP can only see a connection to the r-d server, not what you are streaming.

RD caches files. You aren’t torrenting directly, but rather you ask for the file associated with a link, and then download it directly
Pretty sure you can travel all you want. It’s only a problem if two locations are using it at the same time?
