The Old Testament is full of rules and commandments that, taken completely out of context and applied literally, would lead any modern society to collapse. In the west we thought we knew better than bronze age nomadic tribes of the Middle East, after the scientific and industrial revolutions, but in the end we keep going back to the Bible for directions. Fundamentalist christians are no exception. We should review the way we think about ourselves as “progressed” and civilized societies.
You are assuming that inflation will stop, but after the new war oil and gas prices (so energy prices, and therefore the price of any retail good) are increasing dramatically. Another cycle of the depressive spiral is coming for Europe… the only positive aspect I can think of is that this part of the world is responsible for the misery and poverty of other areas of the world (say Africa) so in the end this will be a sort of very much due nemesis. But from here to saying that “everything is going to be alright” sounds like gaslighting.
Not to upset anybody, but after I installed the JetBrains toolbox some months ago, I started having an idea about where their business model is going to. We should be ready to subscribe and pay for the IDEs we use. And considering the amazing work they are doing to maintain the whole ecosystem, it’s worth it. But then I expect customer care for when Gradle builds are broken 🤣
Tell me you are employed by an Italian IT company without telling me you are employed by an Italian IT company. While reading “I will learn on the field” it reminded me of my previous employer who was very fond of this “learning on the job” approach. To the clients’ detriment who had their expensive software developed by inexperienced programmers.
I have an answer to this question, as well as to why all the fascists (except one) weren’t prosecuted after the war but left alone so that they are now ruling the country again. The reason is: they needed Italy to be a “liberal” western democracy, while giving too much power to the socialists/communists in the 50s/60s/70s would have made it too close to Soviet neighbours, endangering the equilibrium of the area.
Yes, true!
