I wasn’t able to get the serial number - there is supposed to be a way to get a serial number for the desktop app, but I could never manage it.

I may try this - I’ve read elsewhere that using a physical device may work when the kindle desktop app won’t

Last time I tried, the old version just wont load. it forces an update and the updated version won’t seem to work.
