I work in the construction industry. Convenience is king and people will give up quality for it when they’re handing it out 10 times out of 10 sadly.
I bring in high quality donuts from a place near me. Trudeau put it in the spotlight a few years ago for grabbing from there lol. Every single time I do it, people comment and thank me for getting them something good… but they’ll never do it when they’re grabbing them. They’re like double the price but i expense it so why wouldn’t I at least get something good?
I’m taking it more as a stain on her due to how she’s handled it rather than the issue itself. If she can’t be honest about something so evidently obvious, how do you trust her to be honest about the issues that face the country?
I don’t think she came across as honest and forthright with how she handled the COVID situation also. She made Trudeau look good and at this point that’s really hard to do.
Her grandfather was a Nazi. She can’t escape that and refuses to address the reality of it so she comes out with headlines like this. It has zero possibility of becoming reality in an effort to create a different narrative around her eventual run at the p.m. Spot.
She’s very quickly becoming someone not worth listening to in Canada.
I’ve got a family member who’s a level 2 Canada research chair and professor. During COVID I was asking about the move to virtual learning and how they were set up for it, they were telling me that a much larger portion of her grant money who’s going to technology then before and it had started a few years earlier.
Now this prof does some crazy stuff with brain scanning and virtual reality which takes some horsepower and probably needs more upgrades than your typical university computer lab. But the point remains their budgets were being strained 5 plus years ago because of the technology that’s been incorporated into teaching.
I’m inclined to believe that the relative costs of operating a university theatre have risen rather than dropped since I graduated 20 years ago.
Interesting how the Saudi export of their religion is a problem but you’ve got people in the streets cheering for Hamas who is just as brutal if not worse in their upholding of their interpretation of Islamic laws. One’s certainly more subtle than attacking and killing a bunch of civilians but both are troublesome for Western democractic ideals.
Iran and Qatari investments are paying off . Better than the investment in a golf league… y’know, if you don’t value human life that is.
Qatari money isn’t being used to prop up a terrorist organization in Sudan, obviously they’re not going to get the same support the general populations attention has been pushed away from Sudan in favor of Chinese psyop apps and Qatari state media.
American politicians aren’t any different than the general public. They go where they’re led. If they don’t they quite often get run out of office.
Islamic jihadism is a problem that the world needs to get in front of.
The problem is, there’s a lot of wealth in the places that are true believers in Islamic jihadism and that wealth is being used nefariously to undermine liberal western democratic ideals. Watching people cheer for Osama bin Laden should be a real eye opener for the west but it might already be too late.
Interesting how the world is so silent on the genocide clearly occuring in China and focusing on the fastest growing population in the world in Gaza.
Not saying one tragedy is greater than the other, just interested in how social media has influenced the behaviour of the younger generation. Ain’t too many pro Uyghur showing up on tik tok.
With hope, 2024 brings peace to gazans and Uyghurs. I’ve got a feeling it’s closer at hand for the gazans with Hamas on their heels but time will tell.
I’m hearing you loud and clear. you’re covering for terrorists and their supporters. End of story. Trying to obfuscate or deflect doesn’t work and it’s plainly obvious that the Irish see an ally in those who shoot pregnant women waiting at bus stops.
Also, and you’re likely intentionally ignoring the fact that gazans overwhelmingly approve of Hamas attack on October 7, based on the polls released last week. So yet again you’re providing cover for terrorists. Seems like a theme with you. The claim that Palestinians aren’t Hamas or don’t support them is fading by the day. The mother fucking UNRWA teachers are holding hostages, to reinforce how deep the rot is. That’s not to say all gazans or Palestinians are Hamas, that’s clearly not the case. Far too many of them are though and far too many who aren’t will die because of their fellow gazans actions.
Hamas is still saying they’re going to massacre Jews. They’re saying it on TV in Arabic for everyone to hear.
When they stop calling for genocide, the deaths will stop. They’re not going to do that though, they have less respect for human life than you seem to be able to acknowledge.
That you’re defending those who carry the flags of terrorists is utterly disgusting but you’ve already established who you are with your comments so I’m past being surprised. That you’re intentionally ignoring what the world witnessed just reinforces your bigotry for anyone who sees your comments.
I read your comment to the point where you lost credibility. You’re saying no one supports them when there is clear support. Take a step into reality and then the conversation can continue.
Both sidesing this is fucking bullshit too. One side is clearly saying they’re not going to stop. Once they are removed there’s a chance for diplomacy.
How can you say no one supports Hamas when there’s news clips and plenty of photos of Green flags being flown at rallys? There are unquestionably people who support Hamas amongst your countrymen.
If you supported the Palestinian people, you’d be supporting the removal of Hamas. I don’t agree with Israels tactics but I fully support their goals.
Maybe Hamas should have spent some of that aid money on missile defense rather than keeping their billions to themselves in Qatar?
Israel invested in the Iron dome to protect their people from the thousands upon thousands of rockets Palestinians’ have fired into Israel. Hamas says the people of Gaza are not their responsibility.
When Palestinians care about their children more than they hate Jews, they’ll see peace. The cycle of violence ain’t gonna stop until Hamas is gone, followed by the Israeli government as well.
Hamas has to go. We’re seeing even now local support is still high, and it’s being exposed in the West Bank as well with the public hangings this week.
Some voices don’t deserve support and Hamas is one of them. Considering they’re the mouthpiece for everything coming out of Gaza it’s understandable why news agencies who value facts aren’t relying on what they have to say.
What I find interesting is the lack of voice given to the 2 million Arabs living in Israel. What is going on in that community? I’d be curious to learn more about this aspect of the issue.
Kinda seems like Ireland just hates itself right now. Can’t figure out how to support the terrorists in the middle east while stemming the terrorism they are claiming is happening at home.
Fascinating stuff in the land that introduced me to terrorism in my youth.
Strong leadership is needed to navigate that mess.
Huh? They talk about the no knock entry… and how it’s SOP for these sort of things. It says ‘pro Palestinians’ in the url in the title…
Doesn’t really seem like this article isn’t being transparent about this. All of the facts are there, they’re just not saying ‘bigots attack Canadian business because of issues overseas’ I’m assuming cuz that might upset some people.
I used to do a lot of work in the Canadian Arctic. I’m pretty experienced with logistics up in that part of the world and I really don’t see how this is going to work out successfully…
When you get high enough, we’d end up having to drain the oil out of the plane and bring it indoors over night. That is safer than starting a fire under the engine when it’s -58c. I can’t even count how many days we lost to weather, I once paid a guy to sit in Rankin Inlet for 68 days over the course of a year waiting for flights to come back to Winnipeg from a project in Chesterfield inlet. How’s a balloon going to handle winds that stop 737’s from flying? They seem to be saying it’ll be impacted the same as a plane, but aerodynamics make that appear impossible.
This would be a great help for our Northern brothers and sisters, but I think it’s still a pipe dream.
Doesn’t really matter what you think. She’ll be voted out next time. Like she deserves for being a coward.
