Yeah, I very much support rainbows and pride stuff in other places, but I have never felt great about rainbow crosswalks. I’m an autistic driver, I do my best to limit distraction and already have to spend so much of my daily “supply” of willpower staying focused on my short drive. Heck, a freshly painted white crosswalk is distracting enough, lol.

But since it’s something for the public, if it hasn’t actually increased traffic incidents, then I am also fine with it. My personal experience with it isn’t universal, after all.

Unfortunately we have what is basically a MAGA crowd too. In fact, some of them are dumb enough to actually use the term and wear stuff with MAGA on it. Yes, technically Canada is part of America, but I bet if you ask them if it covers Mexico or South America, they would either have not even thought of that or be unsure how to answer, as it wasn’t part of the videos they watched that made them mad.

The only thing they did wrong was having the key dumping info associated with them. Nothing else needed to have been done different. Without that, they would have been completely legal. Dumping roms is totally fine.

You want people to know it was you that did all this technically impressive work and problem solving. Had they not done that one thing, they would have been fine putting their names on their work.

Most emulation projects are completely legal and something to be proud of. And it’s some of the technically most challenging problem solving that coders could have on their resume. Making a good emulator is incredibly impressive. You very much can get a job based on that.
