Looking for file organizer and sharing with metadata database integration
I am looking for self-hosted programs like this: A program that combines the features of [Mediarepo](https://github.com/Trivernis/mediarepo) and [Fopnu](https://www.fopnu.com), connected to a metadata database like [MusicBrainz](https://musicbrainz.org). This integration allows users to automatically curate their file collections and contribute to the database by curating uncurated files. It enables efficient organization and easy searching of files based on their metadata. Users can also create collections and subscribe to collections or tags (creator, character, etc.) to automatically download new content when it's added, without needing to search for individual files. The closest I've found is [Reiverr](https://github.com/aleksilassila/reiverr), which offers a clean UI for Jellyfin, TMDB, Sonarr, and Radarr, as well as a replacement for Overseerr. Can anyone recommend programs that meet these criteria? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.

This is similar to an idea I had some time ago but it was too difficult for me to implement. I’m happy to see a similar program being develop. Though using Jellyfin, Sonarr, Radarr, seems too difficult for the average user, with so many interconnected programs. I wish there was a simpler alternative.

My idea was:

A program that combines the features of Mediarepo and Fopnu, connected to a metadata database like MusicBrainz. The integration with a metadata database would enable users to automatically curate their file collections and contribute to the database by curating files that haven’t been curated yet. This would allow for efficient organization and easy searching of files based on their metadata. Users would also have the ability to create collections and download entire collections instead of searching for individual files.

There is a request for a comment on this issue [Controversial posts and comments #2515](https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/2515). Do you have any ideas on how best to implement this? > I'd like to see some more people chime in with opinions, but maybe that'll come with a PR. At the very least, it's something that can be moved forward with. > > [— dcormier](https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/2515#issuecomment-1595287022)
