at first, i though this was setup for a joke

then i saw the content of the post and thought it was some sort of ironic or deadpan joke

…then, coming from the “all” page, i saw the community and the link to an actual news website

same, i actually laughed once i saw the content of the post because i was expecting a joke.

i have pirated games before, usually games i wanted to buy but couldn’t at the moment. for example: minecraft, which i played pirated for much time until i could buy it.

honestly, now that you said it it’s really more obvious to me how it could potentially end up benefititng creators. i wouldn’t have bought minecraft if i hadn’t played it before.

how does piracy benefit creators? that sounds unlikely

I like Transmission, it’s minimal and downloads torrents.

May I also mention aria2? I don’t think it counts as a torrent client but it supports torrenting.
