Remember kids, the US government would absolutely never explicitly kidnap and traffick thousands of children for the sole purpose of sexual favors and blackmail. They’re the good guys.

How is it always the landlords that end up defending their disgusting practices.

All landlords are rich people that hoard land and then, if they’re inefficient, hold it hostage in exchange for many times its worth.

It is literally the explicit purpose. And yes, some landlords own inns, that they rent to inn keepers and proprietors that then sublet. They do not run the inns if theyre landlords.

It quite literally is. That’s the purpose of being a landlord, exclusively, is to lord over land and expand your domain with the profits.

All landlords are leeches, all landlords would rather leave homes empty than rent them as long as the line goes up, all landlords exist still lely to make money from having money.

Just a reminder, they’re just better at being landlords. All landlords, every single one, is responsible for this, they were just too inefficient to raise rents this high this fast before becoming conglomerates.

The grownups appear to be fantasizing about killing other people because they’re too lazy or too stupid to deal with their domestic threats like cost of living, opiod proliferation, the permanent loss of many hundreds of thousands of housing units to investment property management groups, and the upcoming trade war with the US and apparently China if the right wing gets more power at the Federal level.

That definitely seems more important than fixing your cost of living crisis or dealing with the two provinces now that are actively rolling back human rights advances.

Australia hopefully has their own home grown social media sites by now. Every other country that decides to wholesale ban all foreign social media tend to have replacements ready when they do it.

Well the good news is that if they wait long enough they won’t need to phase it out, they simply won’t have a need for it.

Renters do cover expenses like that. Because they pay rent. And rent pays for all of that plus profit.

Historically when there were work houses and inns that cost under a days pay, sure. But anytime after the 19th century it’s been true. Anywhere in the US in Canada for the last 150 years it’s been true. Any SFH it’s been true, including historically.

Landlords don’t rent out of the kindness of their cold, dead, grease filled hearts, they rent to make a profit. Meaning it is always cheaper to own than rent because that profit is built into the rent.

If you think that’s unaffordable, you should try renting which is always more expensive than owning.

The entire, exclusive point of this “AI” push is for robots to replace 99.99% of humanity so the rich don’t have to deal with peasants anymore. Of course they’re going to train them in every " human " task.

Kindle paper works well, since you can just sync books into it with calibre or other software. They’re also amazingly tough to break in my experience.
