It’s hugely dependent on a lot of factors but what I can say for sure that’s helped for me personally:

• having more locally sourced options like farmers markets and local butchers
• not having to commute to work every day (the extra time and energy saved means I’m much more willing to cook something healthy)
• a healthier work/life balance
• making more money… Buying local isn’t cheap.

I know veggies, even when they’re not local, are cheaper than a lot of processed food but not when we’re talking convenience and energy spent. Having the energy to prep and cook fresh produce, as well as a local market within walking distance have been the biggest factors for me.

I know I’m a pessimist but I feel like this is another one of those issues where we take the mask off and it’s just that monster capitalism underneath.

I’m not a finance expert but I feel like in the long run it’d be cheaper to raise the death benefit or subsidize cremation services than to build dead body storage facilities all over the country.

Near me there are TONS of empty places, the developing is not the issue. Nobody can afford them. Hell I don’t even own and the place next to me sat empty for 3 months because it was going at an absurd rent for the size.

Say whatever you want about her spending habits but $35k for a vet tech job is fucking criminal. Why are we paying essentially minimum wage for an extremely high stress job that requires at least two years of schooling??

Tbh at this point I might be ok with just having our own lil west coast party and saying goodbye to everyone else.

The price is kind of wild but my partner who is a ‘functional’ alcoholic stopped drinking in January of this year and has switched to non-alcoholic beers. There’s some that are pretty wildly expensive but a lot are actually still a lot cheaper than regular beer. It’s a good outlet for those who mostly drink out of habit.
