When I worked as a PM that’s what I used to do - daily check in about any obstacles that I could clear. Took me a little while to get around everyone but it didn’t waste everyone’s time

Coders who complain about documenting and tests are coders I don’t want to work with

It’s slow if your server is slow but fair point about a CLI

I think the tldr; of what you said is that even when you have a theoretical handle on the growth function, you still need to actually benchmark anyway

That’s fair, it’s very configurable so I guess you can do that badly

Manager lead process is often bad process, for sure

I’ve done Telephony, Games and I’m currently working in a high performance context. 99% of the time, you don’t need to be thinking about Big O

There’s a lot of software engineering that doesn’t require understanding Big O

It’s not bad. It’s better than what most languages give you

Yeah cos everyone knows other languages are impossible to write bad code with

It’s extraordinarily useful

Java is awesome. There ya go

Funny you should say that as I was thinking that the idea that math has anything to do with programming is the biggest misconprehension I encounter.

Firstly, climate change requires multiple solutions, this is just one of many. Secondly, methane is one of the gasses we can make the most change the quickest with. Thirdly, cow burps contain a lot of methane and it’s pretty easy to reduce that with food supplements . It’s actually pretty clever. Not sure why you’re being so dismissive.

The biomass of livestock for human consumption vastly outnumbers natural populations.

I just did myself an eye injury due to rolling them so much

This week? I’ve been using it for years and I’m still learning it
