The Public Order Emergency Commission, was a public inquiry created by the Liberal government and Trudeau appointed a Justice to lead the commission. This commission found that the invocation of the emergency act was justified.

However, later there was a federal court that found that it was unjustified.

What’s the right answer? I don’t know, but I would think that the commission took a much more thorough look. We probably won’t have a single answer unless it goes to the Supreme Court.

I think they’re at least at Air Canada levels right now.

They just found out Mexicans get into the country via Canada, too.

I agree with the sentiment, but in his linked project he says this:

Somewhat surprisingly, Trifecta does not touch the images it serves. This is a bit sad since it might be useful for the software to create thumbnails for example. The security record of most image libraries however is sufficiently depressing that it is not worth the cost to do any kind of conversion.

Apparently leaking EXIF data to the internet is not a concern of his.

Not all ground beef is freshly ground by the restaurant.

Yep, you’ll see asterisks by eggs, too, since they need to be cooked to 165 °C to be safe from salmonella, but over easy and sunny side up are obviously quite common.

He ordered it medium, which is not that uncommon in the US.

No, this is about clearing the street and piling up snow banks on the curb.

Ugh, that’s disappointing. Probably the same people complaining about inflation, too.

I imagine for many that they already have family in the US. No idea what percentage that might account for, though.

I really wish we could just do away with credit cards (for the most part) when shopping in person (vs online). Rewards points are basically just a scam to make you pay with credit cards so that you’re not “losing out”, since you’re subsidizing them either way through merchant fees.

Something that might also help is charging merchant fees only on transactions that are paid via credit cards - Telus recently won a lawsuit to be able to do this.

It’s not Canadians sneaking into US, it’s mostly Mexicans and other countries. They’re going through Canada because it’s easier than the US-Mexico border.

NDP isn’t just voting with Liberal on every issue. So yes, this is the best case scenario and is representing a plurality of Canadians.

The number of times I’ve scanned QR codes screenshotted from the same device. So annoying. So “secure”.

I think a lot of private health care-related companies often revolve around a single function (or just a few). I mean, they can’t really do the whole thing because it’s public.

Pretty sure this is just making it easier to eventually carve out. Like removing the wish bone from your Thanksgiving turkey before roasting it.
