The scramble to cover legal bills for former President Donald J. Trump and his associates has prompted what appears to be the largest refund in federal campaign finance history.
The graph charting donations received vs when he was indicted and arraigned was one of the more interesting parts of the article to me. I knew that to his supporters the legal news was proof of the deep state and nothing would turn them off of him, but I didn’t realize what good press all the news about it would be. I assume the other bumps in the chart are other, smaller news items about him.
