Meanwhile something like 30% of all online orders (and way more in the case of clothes) get returned, and a majority of that then goes straight to landfill/incinerator.

An incinerator is a better destination for Amazon returns than the Salvation Army. Some thrift store should buy Amazon return crates and sell the stuff but the Salvation Army can go fuck themselves.
