A report from Alberta Health Services shows a decline in the number of annual food safety inspections since 2018

As someone marginally involved in this boondoggle, I think we are past “concerns.” This whole thing has been a textbook case study in how not to manage a crisis. The Daycare has absolutely shit the bed, AHS has been nothing but incompetent through this whole matter, they absolutely shit the bed too. Government and regulators were nowhere to be found until the bad press was making headlines in Europe. I personally messaged both UCP and NDP members on day 1, and didn’t hear shit from them until the other day. They were all just tightlipped, hoping it would just blow over. Obviously it didn’t and instead turned into what it did.

Alberta is absolutely fucked with these dingdongs at the steering wheel, and that includes the NDP too. They are just as fucking useless. Opportunity of a lifetime to hammer the UCP and it’s just little puffs of dust from them. As usual.

I have zero confidence in our health care administration, in our government and especially in the safety of my children at this point. It’s a hopeless feeling, let me assure you. Absolutely nothing will change, they’ve already allowed the daycare to resume operations. Business as usual.

Bless our doctors and especially bless Childrens Hospital. As usual, they are quietly fixing everything in the background.
