A bunch of losers went out and threw Nazi salutes in Alberta, Canada yesterday while holding racist signs.
Might be time for the media to stop calling them “hand gestures” and start reporting on this big fucking problem for what it is!
One thing I always wonder, who or what are they saluting? I mean, Hitler and the 3rd Reich are long dead. It can’t be used as a secret society sign, since everybody knows it. Maybe it is like a rattle snakes rattle, stay away, I am bad!
It’s just a sign showing their association with the ideology or exist organization(s). It’s part threat, part “this is my ideology”, part indicating their existence (e.g., other’s with similar ideology know they’re not alone). There’s also the bonus being if you punish them they can whine about being suppressed and if you don’t punish them they can tout how “clearly others agree with me : )”.
