Targeting nine repos linked to Switch emulator Ryujinx, the domino effect led to the removal of 4,238 repos. You can ignore a DMCA request. It’s not “do this or go to jail.” It’s a finger-wag that gives you a free out, where they can’t sue you if you do the thing. Federation doesn’t allow you to ignore DMCAs, not hosting in the US does. Federation has absolutely no impact on DMCA’s functioning.
