Basically the title. Using the android app to sync. The photos on my phone have GPS data, but it’s not read by immich. I’ve tried rerunning the metadata job, but that hasnt worked. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you actually examine the files to ensure they contained the metadata?

I did. The local files have GPS data visible in the phone’s gallery app, but the same file in immich doesn’t have it

It did take quite a while for Immich to process everything when I initially uploaded my library, how long has it been since the initial upload?

I just checked and mine is working. I’ll look into server settings in a bit, but didn’t see any settings in the android app.

Yeah, all I see is under Administration -> settings -> Map & GPS settings, there’s a couple of things there. Nothing that disables location altogether I don’t think, just showing location on a map and looking up the city.
