This is the best summary I could come up with:

The leadership council of the Chiefs of Ontario, an organization that advocates for 133 First Nations in the province, met on Thursday to discuss its response to Auditor General Bonnie Lysyk’s 95-page report, released last week.

The report found the government’s process for choosing sites to remove from the Greenbelt was influenced by a small group of well-connected developers with access to Housing Minister Steve Clark’s chief of staff, Ryan Amato.

The groups’ leadership council said it will also be requesting an urgent meeting with Premier Doug Ford and Indigenous Affairs Minister Greg Rickford “to rebuild a working relationship with the province” and to discuss their list of demands, which include the immediate resignation of Amato, that Clark to resign or be removed, the return of the lands to the Greenbelt and the repeal of a recently passed housing law, known as Bill 23.

“The [Chiefs of Ontario] looks forward to raising these concerns and demands directly with the premier and his staff to ensure that First Nations voices are heard,” the news release said.

Gimaa (Chief) Stacey Laforme of Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation said criticized the Ford government for what he called a “goal-oriented ideology” focusing on business and development.

“We will continue to fulfil our commitment to build at least 1.5 million homes in a manner that ensures public trust and confidence in the process, including on our duty to consult with Indigenous communities,” Clark wrote.

The original article contains 979 words, the summary contains 234 words. Saved 76%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

Good on them, but nothing in Ford’s history as premier suggests he’s interested in meeting and working with them. He and his ministers have repeatedly ignored everyone (teachers, healthcare workers, indigenous leaders) in favour of pushing their agenda.

If Doug ford wants to keep his image as a person who cares about the people… wait, never mind he doesn’t care at all.

He cares about the people. We’re just not the right people.

Steve Clark is my MPP. His staff were closely involved in this 8 billion dollar corruption. If Steve Clark knew about this he is abjectly corrupt and ethically bankrupt and has to reassign. If he didn’t know about what was going on right under his nose then he is abjectly incompetent and has to reassign.

He won’t, if course, because the modern Candian right wing are morally bankrupt neo-fascists.
