How does this work with a phone or laptop, for example? What if I sign in at my parents house when I visit for a few days?

They are not going to ban you because you’re logged in on some remote machine.

No one is monitoring your account. The system is logging stuff. Your IP. Login attempts. Etc. that’s just default. In case an admin needs to pull details of an account.
Most of what they are talking about is automated handled by the system they are using as it interacts with the database.

Just don’t share your account. It’s unlikely you’ll get flagged for anything nefarious if you aren’t actually doing anything nefarious. I’m sure whatever they have in place can handle a modern world where people log into stuff from phones and tablets and PCs and just about anything.
You can use your account from any public IP address but you can’t use your account from more than one public IP address at the same time.
If your devices are connected through the same router, they are getting only one public IP address and you can use as many devices you want.
So long as you’re not simultaneously connecting through two different IP addresses, you’re good.

As long as someone isn’t streaming from your home IP, you can log in while visiting your parents to watch. Basically just make sure if you use multiple devices they are on the same Internet connection.

AD is a good service, it’s just a shame the library tends to be smaller. I use Easynews as a backup to my RD, luckily so far haven’t needed to actually use it!

So what may be the cause of a person to monitor the account? Some policy violation, and then they’ll see account sharing, get mad = ban? :D
