Yeah, those kinda puzzled me as well. They didn’t look like they’re varnished, but I suspect I could be wrong about that. After all, they do work, lol 😂.

The link doesn’t open, says connection refused 🤷.

Regardless, if it doesn’t require the bias pin, the mic is self-biased or biased through another source (use the same wire for the signal to get bias, this is easy, you just use a cap to decouple the signal from the bias).

It’s for bias to the mic. Condenser mics need it to apply bias to one of the leads of the mic so it can amplify the sound before sending it to the input of the card. Some mics don’t require that (self-biased) so in that case, the R pin (middle ring) goes to GND.

What do you mean by stereo wire? It’s got 3 contacts on the 3.5mm jack, that’s enough to transfer analog stereo (GND, L, R).

If the board refused to do either, the Microsoft executives would move to Plan B: using their company’s considerable leverage—including the billions of dollars it had pledged to OpenAI but had not yet handed over—to help get Altman reappointed as C.E.O., and to reconfigure OpenAI’s governance by replacing board members. Someone close to this conversation told me, “From our perspective, things had been working great, and OpenAI’s board had done something erratic, so we thought, ‘Let’s put some adults in charge and get back to what we had.’ ”

And you’re about to trust copilot with your info after them openly saying “we can do whatever the fuck we want” 😂?

What do you mean by that? Hardware wise? Except for the optical media, I can’t really see any hardware flaws…

Yeah, hardware wise they’re superb. Software wise… not so much… maybe that’s the reason why they fell so behind on broadcast equipment.

Have to admit though, when it comes to quality equipment, they do take the cake. I’ve never had a Sony product break on me (except my walkman, but that was my fault 😂).

But, to be honest, I’ve never consumed anything but audio and video equipment from them (receiver amplifiers and TVs). Things may be different in other departments, including their PS department.

I was a forums guy back then. We did pick on each other, make stupid jokes on each other’s expenses, but it wasn’t taken to heart… like contruction workers roasting each other all day, that was mostly it 😂.

Wow… didn’t actually know that… sad 😔.

The video is kind of interesting… yes, I remember those days, and yes, there was a lot less bickering and fighting online.

Try rutracker.org or rutracker.ru. It may take a few days, up to a week sometimes, but they mostly have the latest releases from dance music. The most active though on rutracker.org is the Psytrance community, so the genres you mentioned might not get the latest stuff posted frequently.

Try pr0n sites, they usually have stuff like that laying around.

BR discs are still very expensive and will most probably be for a very long time. So are the BR drives. That’s why I still use DVDs.

Might be an option, but I bet these things aren’t cheap.

I still backup on DVDs, make multiple copies so one doesn’t go bad. In adition, I also have a storage, so I think I’m good.

LTO most probably… but the tapes are expensive, so are the devices.

EDIT: We use them at work. They’re enterprise grade, so long term storage is not a problem, the price is though.

Really? I thought most of them did it for fun, as a challenge… but yeah, I guess you mught be right… there are some really hard copy protections and, to be honest, I have no idea how they managed to crack them, unless they have inside knowledge of the protection.

Well, to be honest, especially for warez, yes, it involves A LOT of knowledge. And that’s not easy to gain, there are no books on the subject and you can’t study RCE (I haven’t seen any courses that dive into the subject), so yeah, it’s pretty hard to actually gain some knowledge, and even harder since most of the tricks of the trade are shared between warez groups, and it’s hard to get into one.

So, yeah, I would throw money at that one or two people that actually did manage to crack a particular piece of software. Teams of engineers and programmers working on the software and a team of one or two guys managed to beat your copy protection… bravo 👏.

Enterprise users with the “ExtensionManifestV2Availability” policy turned on will get an extra year of Manifest V2 compatibility.

Who are these enterprise users 🤨 🤔…

If your power company gets shittier, and you switch to a different one, will you be thinking “oh those years I’ve thrown away my money when the service was good”?

I agree, you have a point there.

Maybe I’m just hoping that things should improve if you spend money on the service, not go worse. Maybe I just get dissapointed and regret ever paying for that service.

Yeah, I’m with ya on that… unfortunatelly, from what I’ve witnessed living for 38 years on this earth, most people are not.

I think most people know that adblockers exist, they just don’t know how to implement them on their devices.

So do I, but it never hurts to know how to do something 😉.

Lol, good answer 😂. Choosers masturbate by themselves 😂.

Yeah, but that just makes me feel like I’ve thrown away my money for nothing, like the platform didn’t get any better, it got worse… one of the many reasons why I pirate as well.

I’m on a family subscription for YouTube premium. It’s affordable that way

Each to his own I guess… yes, those are cheap, but I’m still teaching my kid to pirate. These skills (and others as well) will become valuable in the long run in real life as well… my 2 cents.

Not really IMO. If it gets to that, most people will pay. Sure, there will be workarounds, like ReVanced and the likes, but it will be unknown or too complicated to do for most users.

Use Void as the basis. Most of the tools you’ll need are in the repo (add the non-free repo as well), the ones that aren’t, are in xbps-src and you compile from source (it’s only a few commands after you clone the repo).

Regarding samba, holler, I’ll share what I use. Also, don’t forget to install nss-mdns for discoverability. Also holler if you need help getting the services to autostart on boot up.

That’s probably from ReVanced, it reads Premium by default.
