This is a great perspective. I have definitely fallen into this meme’s sentiment many times. You have to remind yourself that it doesn’t matter.

JavaScript is super fun when you’re just a kid building a hobby website.

In 2005 I bought an inexpensive black-and-white HP laser jet for $99. To this day it still prints flawlessly after sitting idle for months or years. The toner never “dries out” or goes bad. Nor have I ever once needed to print in color. If I ever do, I’ll go to a print shop.

I think I’m on my 3rd toner cartridge since 2005. Highly recommend.

How has he not been forced out of Tesla yet? Does he spend any time with them at all?

No coding at work! Only meetings! What do you think we’re paying you for?

And that’s why corporate media will always suck.

Does this feature help our users? Yes, but does it make us more money? No. So we’re not doing it.

Nice! I’m definitely going to implement 787 at work.

In this case I like to return a 502.

I have worked with most of these people at one point or another. I used to sit next to an old architect like walters. He had so many patents the company only recognize him on every 10th one.

It’s easy, you just step, step, step, step in, or wait, over, or, oops.

Absolutely not. I’ve set it so that all sites are denied automatically, so I never even get asked anymore. I can’t imagine why I would ever want that, but I’m very selective with notifications altogether.

I think it’s best to tend toward more permissive, so I vote for option 2.

One thing I would suggest is this that while “help me” posts might not be appropriate, “this is how I fixed it” posts can be cool. So if someone decides to write a post or link an article about “how I fixed my remote docker debugger”, I think that’s great. But not so much “please help me fix my remote docker debugger”.

Just my 2 cents.

I don’t copy code. I look for inspiration!
