Took exactly 11 minutes from posting for an American to be like “no u”. Absolutely no sense of humour.

I also go to local bakeries and farmers markets. It’s less expensive actually in some ways, and it’s not like you’re saving significant amounts at Loblaws stores. Fucking oat milk yogurt is 7 dollars a carton there FFS.

Walrus is pretty good. I wish they hadn’t called it the jab though, that is the language of the bat shit.

No they weren’t fired of course. And despite my own critique of Trudeau I agree he did the right thing.

I’m vegan! I absolutely love it. Also it’s way cheaper.

Shhh it’s just a joke about Loblaw’s, I don’t eat corpse either.

I meant they’re trying to staff with volunteers?

But at least we provide somewhat for people and try to do things. I can’t think of anything conservatives have ever done. Just wreck shit.

It doesn’t even really taste like food. It’s like a pack of raccoons have a kitchen.

Well we did have the trucker convoy here. A great many people who live in small towns or the northern parts of the country hate Trudeau. I am not a fan either but that’s because I think he should be much more left and do a lot more for us,rather than being a craven centrist. But all Liberals (that’s capital L Liberal) are. But conservatives here HATE him on a personal level and drive around with Fuck Trudeau flags on their obnoxious trucks.

We like our socialized medicine and services here, even conservatives, but that doesn’t make them any less obnoxious.

I have only gone in in the last three years because a sweet person gave me a gift card, and hey free lunch. It was gross.

Conservatives call this all pinko Commie liberal stuff. Free stuff if you will. Not stuff we paid our hard earned tax dollars for.

Imagine being that small minded.

Wars, genocide, people displaces, weaponized disinformation, cost of living, the housing crisis, climate change. All small potatoes to a conservative, who is taking a stand on,checks notes, so called “woke” coffee lids.

Conservatives ruin literally everything. I defy a conservative to tell me what they have contributed to the betterment of society.

What do conservatives even want? Like just to set everything back centuries is all I can see. I’ve never seen one of them create or improve anything.

I worked in Starbucks years and years ago, and people would come in and order a large double double there.

I am 50 and I remember when everything was baked on site and was really actually pretty great.

I switched to the locally owned Polish grocery store and the international grocery store. Way more interesting food and better deals. Best idea ever.

I do have to go into the local Loblaws because my pharmacy is in there (it’s steps away from my home and switching pharmacy is so difficult when you’re on controlled substances, and at least the pharmacy is independently owned), and saw some guy loading up his backpack with stuff the other day and laughed.

My SO worked at one for years. He could not care less. Sometimes when it was obvious someone was returning a case of formula they had just stolen (like it was January and the case was not cold from being in a car outdoors) they would roll their eyes, but they’d still do it. What can you do?

There was this hilarious cashier once at a store I used to go to, who had some movement disorder that made her act like the Chicken Lady from Kids In The Hall. As a result she couldn’t be bothered to memorize produce codes for scanning, and if she didn’t know what something was, she would just toss it in your bag without ringing it up. I got a lot of free lychees that way.

Ok my store actually doesn’t use those ones, so win. They also have never had security that I see.

Nobody deserves to get off the hook here. But Loblaws is definitely the face of it because of Galen and his price fixing.

I go to the local international grocery store a lot, it’s actually spectacular, and there’s also the Polish grocery chain in my city which is quite good.

I’ll have to Iook into shoplifting tips then. I’m a simple woman, I’d be happy if I could top up my teabag stash, some bread yeast and flour, some nice morning granola, and a good sized bottle of olive oil and roasted red peppers.
