Just a chill guy, enjoy working in electrical, electronics, and programming.
Also enjoys listening to music, watching movies on Netflix and talking sci-fi and solar punk fantasy lol
Although I agree that bit torrent is a good protocol, DDL is still a valuable method of maintaining mass accessibility, and an important aspect of transport as it requires next to no background skills or knowledge, it’s also symbolic to the concept that many people simply do not believe piracy is necessarily a crime unless it turns a profit, or prevents or reduces a sale from occurring.
Why are libraries still existing despite all the wild cunt kings high on their own megalomania who’ve gone and burned libraries and attempted to destroy civilization?
Meh government jobs can be depressing from what I’ve heard. The big thing is that many who work in government have watched over the years how multiple parties and various personalities fail to bring meaningful change and I can only imagine how depressing it is. It is no doubt that a government job, much like teaching is meant to be symbolic as a position of caretaking so to speak, but one with more authority than real inspiration and information.
The next big thing in my mind is the evolution of government systems, ie the human body and mind has already managed to become versatile enough to adapt itself across a variety of ecosystems, the next big thing will be how our systems adapt to the human circumstances on a large scale in a manner that will not be controlled or directed by a single authority like a government, but by a anarchic democratic meritocracy where the more material knowledge and capability you can provide the group the more information and transparency is given to you for further investment into the system you are part of or rely on.
Yes I’m drunk lol
Even though Linux is still somewhat popular in tech circles, consider that windows would have a significant market share for providing high value entertainment and a wide variety of tools to office workers. Microsoft Office is the dominant documentation and accounting suite for office workers around the world.
Now, combine that with the way that Microsoft has bundled their OS into many laptops and retail computers worldwide and you see why they’re big.
Essentially anybody looking to do any paperwork related work will have to interact with Microsoft’s system of software in one way or another. If Bill Gates was a deity, he’d probably fit right in with the god of tax collectors, taxing people for paperwork and bureaucracy.
Yeah nah that’s just the places like YouTube, that they can throw the most advertising at, the issue is that they’re not muscling into any other avenues for income, e.g. Google Cloud, YouTube Music, Google Music Studios etc, shared specialised platform for music production and computing hardware, with more exclusive use of Golang tools etc, Vs AWS, a general all purpose solution.
I doubt anyone would seriously want to fire a nuke even if the country fell into a civil war.
It’s more of a saying or sentiment so to speak - that the system could be nuked and people would perhaps arguably be better off to reform from scratch, with the knowledge of hindsight rather than with the current difficulties.
India is also an example of a very corrupt and badly managed democracy, so your point is moot.
The reality as far as we’ve seen is that certain cultures where information is tightly controlled, traditional masculinity is prized, and sole survivor mentality among men is very valued, there tends to be more of an acceptance if not casual support for the simplicity of a dictatorship.
The other issue is that not all democracies are equal and an educated and experienced populace where individuals are most capable of taking care of themselves while providing maximum utility for themselves and others is where democracy is most likely to be of greatest compliment for a system.
Have used various third party apps in the past, won’t name, they’ve never been too bad.
Usually neater and pay homage to the original style of Reddit as a long form text based forum,. From what I’ve seen, the official Reddit app and front page on desktop has evolved into a Facebook style newsfeed of images and short videos.
