The operation was linked to organized crime and had been mass-producing and distributing drugs across Canada and internationally.

OOC if I had a pet pig. Loved it. Gave it a full and happy life safe and warm in my house until one day it died of old age. Would it be okay to give the body to my destitute neighbours so they can feed their dogs?

Edit 21hrs later: Your silence speaks volumes

I’m sorry, but you’re wrong. Relying on edge cases in either generation is pointless. Millenials had zero tech support to help them for everything you need to do on computers.

How to load a program: Nowadays - touch the icon on the screen. Millenials - Load"$“,8 LIST LOAD"LEISURESUIT*”,8,1 (wait 10 min.) RUN

How to install a game: Nowadays - Click BUY on game store and choose INSTALL. Millenials - Learn MSDOS basics, Type a series of 5 commands without typos

How to configure game settings: Nowadays - Play with volume sliders, Graphics preferences, and game difficulty. Millenials - Edit config.sys or autoexec.bat to ensure device drivers are loaded, load game, assign proper IRQ, DMA variables to get your SOUNDBLASTER card to play sound, select game difficulty

How to setup a printer: Nowadays - go to manufacturers website and download drivers, run setup.exe, plug in printer to USB port. Millenials - Check Device manager in Windows to determine COM port and other relevant variables. Set values in word processing software. Employ Minor in mechanical engineering to align or correct bad ink ribbon with perforated track runners. Repeat fixes every 5 pages ad nauseum.

All that BS and more required hours of research to learn how to do in an era where guidance was buried in some sketchy newsgroup where ‘Rick Rolling’ was seeing if you’d notice “Deltree c:” in the instructions, and not just a simple 20 second video on TikTok.

I work with children using Ipads and that one kid who doesn’t get lost if the relevant icon is missing in the UI is the one I know is going to be trouble. They say average IQ increases by 3 every generation and this is the first one I don’t think that trend will hold for because they aren’t required to think at all ever.

The pilots have them by the balls though. Thanks to COVID schenanigans there is a demand in the US for pilots that are easily paid well above what Air Canada pilots get atm. Government steps in and pilots will migrate south en masse.

IMO Trudeau is putting pressure on AC to get this settled ASAP because they are all F’d if they dare play hardball.

Nuclear Power Stations take forever to get up and running if they ever do, are far more expensive than equivalent energy sources (pg.11), and is a NIMBY half the province probably won’t want anywhere near them, with the other half (and rest of the nation) being downwind.

It’s more crazy to try and re-litigate this already dead horse simply from an economic and political pov without even opening the can of worms that is safety and disposability of waste etc…

I wouldn’t waste my time reading a book written by an uneducated criminal. In this case, the title makes it clear their agenda.

Yves Engler is the author of 13 books. His latest book, available now, is "Canada’s Long Fight Against Democracy”.

So it must be the lack of ads, cookies, and AI generated content which makes Google suspicious of it

If your site isn’t integrated with Google’s Adsense infrastructure it is immediately at a disadvantage as Google won’t scan your site anywhere near as often, and even when it does will put the results way below anything else that does. It’s not that it finds your site suspicious, it is simply incentivized to really look hard at all the other sites paying for service.

The packages have gotten much smaller

Blatantly so in some cases. Nature Valley granola bars reduced their size by like a third but still kept using overstock of old wrappers so you’d get a box full of wrappers partially filled with tiny bricks of granola.

Same. I grew up detassling corn, potato harvesting, and apple picking through high-school. A decade later lived in a house surrounded by greenhouses with a farm owned garage converted to house that was always full of 8-12 Mexican temps. Good people, great food but only knew them for a couple months and never would see them again.

Considering this, I can understand why the ‘lazy teens’ meme came about. We take for granted that getting temp farm work should be effortless and mistakenly assume the only reason they aren’t working is because they can’t be bothered to sweat a little. I at least am guilty of this more than I’d like.

It’s probably a legal thing, like ‘allegedly’. Until the gov officially declares them terrorists my guess is they water down the language to avoid lawsuits.
