Literally in a Telegram group that uploads the entire content of 5 not yet uploaded creators every week. At least that’s what they adviertise andnhave so far delivered. “WHAT THA FUCK” “Holy shit, yo what’s the matter? Whats happened? What’s going on?” " THERE’S SO MUCH PORN”

The issue is, that unlike movies, games and others, these plugins are no harder to pirate, but way harder to hide. It’s not like a “Yeah, you could get in trouble.”, but more like a “If anyone catches you, you are not going to financially recover.”, which given the scope of clients (Fam, friends and yourself) and the fact, that these Websites are likely to be on the internet, is incredibly likely. Why not use a free and open source alternative?

That argument is no argument since we humans, no matter how advanced our language is, still follow rules. Without rules in language, we would not understand what the other person were saying. Granted, we learn these rules through listening, repeating and using what sounds right. But the exact same thing is happening with LLMs. They learn from the data we feed them. It’s not like we give them the rules to english and they can only understand english then. The first time they come into contact with the concept of grammar is when they get data, most often in english, that tells them about grammar. We all follow rules. That’s exactly how we work. We’re still a lot smarter than LLMs though, so it might seem as if they are vastly inferior. And while I do believe that most complex organisms do have “deeper thought” in that our thought has more layers and is generally fitter for the real world, there is no way I’m not gonna call a neural network that can answer me complex questions, which may have never been asked in the history of mankind, an AI. Because it is very much intelligent. It’s just not alive. We humans tend to think of ourselves too favorably. “We” are just a neural network. Just a different kind. Just like a computer is similar to the human brain, but a wire is not. Where do you draw the line?

Hmmm yes. Though now that you speak of decentralization… Would be pretty epic if we had a Fediverse type platform but “posts” or in this case torrents would be saved across the network, kind of how digital currencies do. That way with enough participants worldwide, it would be quite hard to shut that platform down. Distopian still lmao

Libretube works off piped servers and has multiple instances listed ready for use. It includes Sponsorblock and has a beautiful UI. It’s slightly buggy sometimes but if you can deal with that it’s the best.

Some possible issues are:

It could be a honeypot. While this likely won’t be the case, if you connect to a website and download directly from there, depending on your browser and os, general privavy and anonymity, they might be able to fingerprint you. Check against some other databases from sites that you visited today that have your real name and you’re bust. Unlikely, but possible.

If the website gets shut down because of suspicion of malicious activity and they intentified visitors, again, through a fingerprint or similar, it’s beasically the same as a honeypot.

So basically, the complexity of modern web browsing is the general issue. How do you circumvent this? Ideally you don’t. Just use a torrent with a p2p VPN in a secure and anonymous manner and you don’t even have to worry about your Javascript canvas.
