That image is not mine, it’s just for reference by the other user to show me where to look

Nothing, and it just reports 100% packet loss when I terminate the ping command.

as far as i can tell from the output, i think my DNS is working?

this is the contents of the interfaces file

I don’t have anythiung seperated in to different VLANs, and i only use this single subnet. all other devices can ping outbound without issues.

Aah OK…well OP can fuck right off then if it’s for spam bots.

What does “clean FB account” mean? I’m assuming it’s referencing Facebook account, but what is different with a “clean” account, as opposed to one you just create your self?

192.168.68.210 is my adguard, it’s on a different machine. It should be working, all my other devices use it and I can see the traffic going through it. My servers IP is 192.168.68.120, and I can’t see traffic from that on my adguard at all. But it can ping my adguard.

this is the output of ip route.

192.168.68.1 is my router, 192.168.68.120 is the proxmox host

I’m not really sure what to look for, I’m not very experienced in network, but this is the output i get

i have, it doesn’t work. I can ping my Adguard without issues though.

It’s pointing to the IP of my Adguard (located on a different machine)

It’s set to static, I also do that for anything that hosts something.

It won’t ping yahoo.com at all, it just reports 100% packet loss.

Edit: just realised that it won’t ping my gateway/router either. It’s pinging all other devices on my network just fine though.

This is what I’m thinking too, but I don’t know how to fix it.

[SOLVED, user error] Proxmox not conncected to internet, but is reachable on LAN
***[SOLVED]*** *Turns out I'm just a bigger moron than I thought. The MAC address of my server had accidentally been flagged in my router for black listing.* As the title says, my proxmox host is apparently not able to reach the internet anymore, not sure for how long this has been an issue, I rarely work on the host itself. It can ping other devices on my network just fine, and other devices can ping it. I can also SSH in to it and access the web interface. My VMs are connected to the internet without any issues. I don't need to access the host remotely/outside my home network, this is just for updating it etc. I can't see the host under active devices in my router though. I have been trying to figure why, but so far without any luck.

Its breaking a shitload og stuff on Firefox right now…I can’t reliably use my home assistant interface with it enabled, onshape won’t load CAD models and I can’t use drop-down menus on a lot of sites.

I don’t know what the hell they did, but it’s breaking everything.

I’m not the other user, but this is my NUC running proxmox with 2 VMs and 2 LXCs. Running with an old i3, 16gb ram and a single 1tb NVME, no mechanical HDDs, and a few USB peripherals like a ZigBee dongle.

Easiest way is to just point qbit at the “tun0” interface from the network tab in the menu of qbit…point-click-done

Tesla’s implementation of both card and phone key doesn’t require internet connection. It’s all local and offline. Phone key uses BT and card is simply RFID.

It’s not OSS so I I’m not paying/supporting it financially. I don’t mind donating to a good ad-free (F)OSS client though.

This is likely an issue with your SD card…Pi’s eat them up, even the good ones that supposedly can handle it get chewed up pretty quickly. It really sucks that they haven’t transitioned to emmc but insist on using SD cards.

Sync has ads and isn’t open source, so that’s a big no thank you from me.

I really miss a good Lemmy mobile client though…I was using liftoff which reminded a lot of RIF, but that seems to have been abandoned completely. A lot have ads, so that’s a hard pass for me. I’m currently using Thunder, but it’s a pretty buggy mess TBH with a lot of UI oddities and bugs.

What makes adguard home better than pihole? Genuinely curious, I’m running pihole now and have been for a couple of years without issues.

I sometimes use stremio + torrentio and it works great. What does real debrid add to the setup?

Basically all the large national news sites where I live are unaffected by this filter. This article for example has a paywall when i visit.

It may let you read some sites, but it has never worked for me. I constantly run in to paywalls despite using this.

issues with QbitTorrent stalled torrents
I am just getting back my sea legs, but apparently they're pretty shaky because I can't get my ubuntu torrent (no seriously, it is) to download. It never starts downloading and is stuck in "stalled". I've tried a number of things, but even with default settings it isn't starting. I'm using proton VPN on Linux Mint, but even with the VPN disabled it doesn't work. last time I torrented was probably 15 years ago. EDIT: i managed to get it working. As expected it was a Qbit config issue. First issue was a port forwarding issue. second one was the interface i connected it to. Apparently the interface named something with "vpn" is *not* the correct one to bind Qbit to, its a dummy created by the VPN that doesn't work. I had to select one named "tun0". If i just selected the regular physical interface I had IP leaks with the VPN enabled.
