I tend to think Powell is following the data and making pragmatic decisions for rate cuts - but this article does make important points.
That said, the Fed has basically spelled it out they will cut rates “very soon”.

I’d also be curious to see how they’ve adjusted the language on the project 2025 website, what sort of dog whistles are they using now when the light is turned on for overturning the rule of law, separation of powers, etc etc.
