The website is run by Skynews, wich is not directly disclosed on the website, the privacy options button doesn’t work, it doesn’t have a cookie banner but does set a cookie (illegal in EU), it has a injection for Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, by doing all that, they are less compliant to GDPR than my fucking piracy site…

All in all it looks like a intern made a WordPress website, designwise ok, but regarding legality, functionality and content its at best for printing it on toilet paper.

They are actually less prone to big data theft… “they could steal your personal data without you know”…while the “legal” streaming sites are stealing orders of Magnitude more wich is pretty clear by the amount of data they transmit, a website has usually no access to your contact info, your entire hard drive, the contact info of everyone in your contacts, your microphone or your camera.

There are German groups that want to restart that and Ukrainian groups that want to sell out to Russia.

Does “Groups want” make something right?

I have a proxy host on a library terminal Server and a VPN through/to their firewall (its actually a network of Libraries

Lmao. Now im going to pirat all sports just because. I don’t even want to watch it, just putting it on the torrent server.

I think a invite only matrix server would do the trick, and better than signal, they don’t want large groups.

It should have been done 70 years ago, its too late now and doesn’t help anyone, it will literally enable the modern “nazis” with more propaganda material.

Good, this isn’t the right time for any of that, Russia will just use it all to make more “Ukraine is run by Nazis and we have to free them” propaganda.

They operate from Switzerland… They kinda don’t care about other countries legal status of their services. If you want them, you can get them, they already service countries that “ban” such services.

Yeah you can literally mail Proton money even by proxy. Their VPNs work in some of the worst dictatorships currently on earth.

To police that shit you would need to decrypt all VPN traffic anyway, that is a. A major security threat b. A massive privacy violation and c. Basically impossible as the computing power necessary would be absolutely gargantuan.

Most VPNs use wire guard or openvpn protocol, that goes for business and private, so there is no difference seen from outside.

Also Proton works on a VPN protocol that would be basically invisible. Hope they can do it.

I wish everyone being against VPN a very pleasant fuck you and get a life and or a rope. VPN is essential for cyber security and banning it would literally fuck up most IT work in the world. Fucking greedy assholes. Now im pirating something just to spite them. Time to fill the library again!

This mail screams “please ignore this BS some lawyer forced me to write, he doesn’t even agree with it either!”

The ISPs don’t want to enforce it ever usually. They like just minding their own business running the money press without idiotic disturbances.

They would need to pay much, very much.

The costs of doing what they want are already a big fucking burden and in reality.

Tbh, im doing that from time to time, they themselves couldn’t care less about piracy or online hate or anything like that. So they tend to argue in court that they shouldn’t have the burden to ban any website, any person or any company, also they don’t want to store the logs of millions of users because the government wants to Persecute some people.

No that’s not how it works, internet nowadays is a public place, just like a street/place is. Over 50% of social life nowadays is on the internet and its not provided by A provider, it a gigantic network of providers, governments and private people that make up the internet. And prohibiting access to that place (the isp is literally just a gatekeeper) is a violation of Freedom of speech, freedom of opinion and freedom of information.

Also a law requiring them to prohibit people from access is the government…

What a legend, hope FBI goes to fuck themselves and fight crime and not just some internet people sharing their stuff.

It sounds super fucking illigal because disconnecting internet may fall under prohibiting freedom of speech

Wouldn’t a VPN still work? VPN+NextDNS would do the job.

Hope Proton comes up with a good encrypted DNS service however.

Depends strongly on the cinema, many have the movies around for relatively long and as said, the size varies heavily.

The problem is that these Mashines don’t have USB or SD slots, you would need to steal the entire thing to copy it on another Mashine. They take security seriously, especially the theaters that do the first showings of movies.

Yeah basically impossible to walk away with unnoticed, and internet usage for this amount of data would be very visible. The movies usually arrive in boxes by a special service that has vans like money transports…

Wasn’t talking about a single movie, thought the guy wanted to rip all the currently releasing movies.

A single movie is usually around the 500gb to 1000gb as said, depending on the specifications.
