thank you!

this seems to be browser dependant, too. Firefox does not display the content, chrome does.

in neither browser the download of the zip file works. Is that a server-side issue? how can i best save the stuff?

is archive.ph/.is sad or is some content taken down?
I look for this article: https://www.heise.de/ratgeber/Anleitung-fuer-einen-Eigenbau-Waermetauscher-fuer-das-Taupunkt-Lueftungssystem-7183776.html , and it seems to be on archive.is, but not really. The zip file can't be downloaded, and the article frame never comes alive. Is this content available? If so, where? If the content WAS on archive.is, why is it gone?

Nah m8 you throw the article link you posted into the second input field on archive.is and if it doesn’t find any you can put it in the first input field and it will scrape the webpage for everyone

Here i did it with your article: https://archive.ph/iVekq (huh seems fitz above already did it, but we used a different article link, here’s hopping archive has good dedup filters)

Thanks for answering my question!

this is not the complete article, only that part that is available by default, and faded out with CSS.

So the process is to find it in the archive.XX server by digging around in the given domain, perhaps with search strings from the title of the article?

I am looking for this article https://www.faz.net/aktuell/wirtschaft/das-klimageld-kann-die-akzeptanz-der-klimawende-nicht-erhoehen-19209438.html without a paywall. I checked archive.ph, searched for faz.net, checked what was available, and found nothing. What is the correct approach? EDIT: this is about the content of finding articles behind paywalls, not just about the content of just this specific article.

Youtube - like apps like piped.video, but as Android app?
I am looking for for an app that registers as a YouTube endpoint, but has no ads and tracking (or backdoors). I had one (forgot the name) which stopped working. Please advice.

I got it to work by using a different soccks5 server. Those in the Netherlands didn’t work.

i dont see any socks5 or proxy related log messages. should I? if so, how can I enable them?

ok, i tried that (109.202.99.45) and it still does not work. The “retrieving metadata” progress animation keeps animating, and no info in the magnet link on the ipleak.net website shows up.

please help debug my qbittorrent socks5 setup with nordvpn
I am struggling to get my proxy setup to work, as described here https://support.nordvpn.com/Connectivity/Proxy/1047410732/Proxy-setup-on-uTorrent.htm I successfully got the nordvpn login and password, added it to the connection GUI of qbittorrent on my Debian gnu Linux machine, and applied the settings. I use the nl.socks.nordhold.net proxy server, and port 1080. But the final test with the magnet link from ipleak.net fails, and I never see the data from the magnet URL. Does such a setup work for anyone else out there? How can I debug the setup?

Where do i find sea charts for sailing? (Baltic sea)
See topic. I want to use them with a Garmin handheld device. I can do transformations from, e.g., OpenStreetMap myself (with some instruction).

How to configure my transmission to automatically bring up the VPN?
I read that was highly recommend, and looked closer into the config options for transmission torrent client on Debian. I don't see any options in that regard. Where can I find instructions?

Where can I find old kindle Android app to deDRM a book?
If I understand correctly, I need an ancient kindle apk as a means to DeDRM some content. Where can I find it? Is there a recent howto somewhere?
