Oh right, yeah you’re dependent on their service.

I use TailScale and their free Personal plan.

Disclaimer though: I haven’t done much due diligence on it. It was easy to install when I first started self hosting with Umbrel and I use it so rarely that it’s good enough for my usage.

Totes this. I’ve refactored far too many of these things in my day so I just about always reach for an options object if there’s the slightest uncertainty about adding more params in the future.

I see Fireship, I upvote!

Seriously though, this is classic Nintendo. I feel like they’d do this knowing full well they might lose if only to let the world know they haven’t stopped watching this space.

Python seems to be a staple for as long as I can remember and it looks like it’s still gonna be going strong for a good while yet!

I’m thinking of taking the dive and finally learning it myself soon.

This just looks like another cookie clicker rip off.

Yeah this gets to me as well. Worst of all is that I think these people are missing a trick. Create another article with the basic setup and link through to it instead and you get a free SEO win.

You still need a subscription if you want to save your collections in git.

Oh sweet. I had just found APIDog the other day which seemed better than Postman. Will check this out too!

The only thing doing tech tests has taught me is that I’m too stupid to do the job I’ve been doing professionally for the better part of 2 decades.
Can't just be me, can it? Currently 0 for 3 on interviews because I can't seem to get past the technical interview/test. Usually because of some crazy complicated algorithm question that's never been relevant to anything I've ever had to do on the job in all my years coding. Also, while I'm ranting: screw the usual non-answer when given feedback.

I laughed way too hard at this 😂
