Disturbingly, there are no federal regulations protecting turkeys and other farmed animals from horrific suffering while on farms

Is that true!? I moved here a few years ago from the EU. I certainly assumed Canada has them

No matter how bad things are, we certainly can worry about the conditions of the world. However, it’s not very constructive.

I am worried about affordability.

I all too often consider the fact that climate collapse with take human quality of life back the better part of a century in the developed world, and much more on the global south. Not to mention the damage to non-human life we’ve been doing, even from the beginning of the industrial revolution, constituting a mass extinction as bad as any in the age of the Earth.

But I owe my housemates two months rent, and now they don’t have any more money either. What can I do? I have to buy the cheapest, and least, of whatever is available.

I wish they would make the resources (that I hope) they give to loved ones available to those of us that could DIY the practical side.

It is a MAIDs death. The whole point is that every occurs instead of a much worse death. They’re not meant to happen if the person wouldn’t have died otherwise. The scare mongers are avoiding the whole point

I was looking at moving to Thailand to become an English Teacher a few years ago. Then I found a much better job and met my wife, so I’m still here.

I already moved internationally to be here, which is something my family does.

I didn’t look at the username, so this came across as an underserved Orwell-referencing insult. Lol

Accusing him of being O’Brian or something.

I came to suggest mermaidjs too.

My wife and I are considering Nanaimo. It feels affordable in comparison to Vancouver or anywhere remotely near Victoria.

Will any other city in BC meet even that level of affordability in the next few years?
