Yeah… I wanted to get 4k collection of lotr and hp, but it’s too much expensive. Then I downloaded the iso’s and wanted to burn them… And it would be much cheaper to just buy the whole damn collection, so I just browse it digitally.

I use linux and brave together without any cryptocurrency adds and I don’t give a fck about opinion of others about Brave. I know about controversy and it always was better option for me than any other browser. Especially Firefox, which has more telemetry than Brave. If you want true control use Librewolf and tor, no google, apple, use Graphene os, don’t subscribe to anything, pay in crypto prepaid by atms, turn on airplane mode after every call/sms, don’t turn on gps and even better use wifi only or god damned stupid phone. Yeah, I’ve been using Kodi for a long time. As I said it’s just about nostalgia and collection.

There is no need to update. I’m still on 18.9 with Netflix skin and I’m quite satisfied. My setup is completely offline so why to update.😇

It’s more about nostalgia… When I was 8 years old, Harry Potter, Lotr and Matrix (also Star Wars, but Disney fcked it up for me recently) were coming out and since then it’s my holy trinity of franchises (not that I understood Matrix back than 🤣, I was glad I could watch it behind my mum’s back). So I’d like to have all these as a whole collection experience.

Also I was getting these movies as DVD releases for Christmases, birthdays and I liked the bonuses and menu theme music, commentaries, etc. But I don’t like the physical part of that media. I’d have to buy bd drive or player, which are expensive in Czechia, also empty bd media is costly and most of all not comfortable to play.

So I could straight away buy original released 4k bluray but I really don’t want to spend money on something like that (I don’t have much money anyway), I also don’t want to give to rich mf of wb any of my money (they have more than enough) and I’d prefer digital copies cause it’s comfy and I have a lot of free space.

It’s like a heaven they couldn’t have even imagined in the era of VHS. You buy it from them and can use it only as they see fit. I’d rather buy bluray than this slaverism. But of course I prefer nice hevc 4k rip on my NAS browsed through Kodi with Netflix like skin. I scrape files as I download them and after more than 10 years it’s really nice offline collection. 😇

It depends if you mind the cons, which doesn’t effect me. You can use banking apps, cause you hide magisk root app from them, you have to update manually, cause you need to patch update file to include root (easy), adobe software cannot be fooled by magisk hide so you have to pirate it and Samsung devices will irreversibly trip Knox so no Samsung pay and password. So far I have rooted every device I had since HTC Evo 3D and no problems, only full control of device I paid a lot of money for.

And that is the reason why I’m rooted and you should be to. Also if you want to add firewall into combination with vpn and adblock, there is definitely no other way.

After 3y in UK I understood imperial system but I still hate it. When I watch a video when they mention imperial system I just don’t bother to finish it.

I have around 24TB of drives. 6TB Home Theater NAS made of HDD and Pi4. 2x 4TB as a backup for my NAS and some other files. 4TB SSD in my PC (78 games installed) and in my PS4 (150ish games installed). Important games I backed up, all movies, shows and documentaries are backed up, plus my files (photos, documents, pirated software, etc). Plus most important things like family photos and documents are backed up online (encrypted) and offline on sd card and flash drive.

Considering expanding of my collection… Every show and movie I enjoy is added to my NAS. Same goes for games, but I tend to buy them when they’re cheap or I’m so excited that I preorder. I don’t play that much anymore. Last time I preordered Hogwards Legacy and before ME Legendary Edition.
