So, no impact on Facebook. What about the news agencies? Are they losing ad revenue because of fewer eyeballs on their content?

If fediverse admins come back to us saying that they have figured out a safe way to federate with Meta, then we will know that Meta got to them (financially). Maybe that’s why they want an off the record meeting?

To create an Instagram account, your identity has to be validated. I prefer anonymity. Once Meta gets their foot in the door, I guarantee they will try to bully the fediverse into doing things their way. Hard pass for me.

In my 50s, I still play video games, but interests have changed. I used to love MMOs (WoW, Eve Online), but just don’t like the grind anymore. I’ve switched to playing card games, specifically rogue type dungeon crawlers; Slay The Spire, Obelisk. This scratches my gaming itch and doesn’t have any commitment level. Find a partner that games, they are out there.
