Sure, they demand change. And I would like to see a flying pig with purple and gold spots. We can all soothe ourselves with magical thinking that, somehow, all of a sudden, people will become humane, smart, caring and worthwhile.
I’ve been alive 7 decades and have seen 7 decades of war in the mid-East, of people hating police, of police brutality, of crime, of degeneracy, of hyped-up shit-brained plutocrats thinking they are the saviors of mankind, of protests, and hate and war mongering and sickness.
Nothing will change. The only outcome, to any of this, under any circumstances, is an all-out nuclear war, which if we are lucky will come sooner than later. Sweet oblivion. Total eradication of human filth - that is the only possible and hopeful course for the future of this planet.
There was no chance Putin wouldn’t stay in office, more’s the pity as it says all that needs be said about why mankind is unreedemable and unworthy of any sort of salvation. Humanity is a cesspool, and Putin is just one of many pieces of feces that swirl around thinking it is better than the rest of the stinking filth swirling around it.
Why can’t we just have the nuclear war we were meant to have by now? Why is it taking so long for us to hit those buttons and get this nasty shit over with once and for all? It’s the only outcome that will ever be possible, why are we prolonging it??
In Utah they’re so frightened of social media that they have made it almost impossible for any social media companies to thrive here. Tik Tok is now in their crosshairs because it’s the fashionable GOP target, but previously it was facebook and the internet in general. Now they’ve passed laws to restrict internet usage for anyone under 21 - on the off chance some kid might see a cartoon of a bare butt or something, and their head might explode.
AI could be a creative tool for good, in the right hands; unfortunately, most people will use it to produce crap and to spread sick disinformation that, in many cases, will be libelous if not downright corrupt. The art of persuasion should have guardrails because, essentially, most people are pimps who stink excuses.
Jesus H. Fuckin Christ almighty, we human beings are fucked up. A simple common sense concept such as getting people vaccinated against a pandemic disease turns into a huge political global firestorm about control and sovereignty and other ridiculously unimportant crappola, not to mention all the fucked up misinformation spread by evil corrupt people. I really believe we must innoculate the human race most effectively by simply nuking everyone to death and doing away with human beings for good. People are evil and stupid and without any hope of redemption.
I hope this means we are closer to nuclear annihilation than ever before. Humans have ruined the earth, and themselves. There is no possibility for peace or peaceful coexistence - and really, there never was. The best solution that humans can hope for now is total extinction and eradication.
I’ve had more dreams of nuclear bombs falling lately. I can see how it will happen, suddenly without warning with a feeling of immense anger that we had and never have had any control over what happens to us. I see the structures and homes around us burning and swept away by immense winds of heat and people melted to the ground.
This is how it WILL end for us all, sooner or later. I for one don’t particularly want to see us drag it out any longer than necessary.
Israel has absolutely no right to reject the two-state solution. I’m beginning to feel that Israel itself has no right to exist any longer. The only outcome that will ever work in any way, under any circumstances, is to allow Palestine to have it’s own independence and its own territory. If Israel rejects that idea, we need to reject Israel and do our best to wipe them off the face of the earth for the good of the rest of mankind.
This insipid and cruel war against Palestine has got to end. I admit I wasn’t particularly on anyone’s side to start with, but now Israel has turned a singular day of violence into a bloodthirsty crusade of horror.
More killing will not solve anything, and now that Gaza is a blasted wasteland, there can’t be any winners at all. The love of killing other humans has got to stop - it just has to stop and we have to undertake psychological healing and promotion of peaceful ideals and quit inculcating young impressionable and easily coerced men with the idea that murder is ever justified for any reason.
Well you’re right, I can’t argue with you there. The pervasive sense of doomerism and love of gun violence that is our modern society has turned me very cynical about death. I don’t think you can have it both ways - culture of violence and also being upset when violence happens. That was really just where I was coming from.
Trust me no one is more pacifistic and in love with the idyll of a peaceful world than I am.
Unlikely that things will be done to me without my consent. You don’t me very well. People have tried it and paid the price.
Death is just the cracking of the shell that holds us down on earth, that’s all. No one and no thing can coerce me into asking for forgiveness, especially where I’ve done nothing at all that requires me to ask it. They should all be on their grubby little hands and knees asking ME for forgiveness.
True - I’d not do very well on Naked on Afraid, I’d survive about one second if I had to go outside. The slightest breeze would send me into a spiraling calamitous downfall. If I saw a spider I’d die of apoplexy.
I’d go into severe withdrawal and severe geriatric profranity disorder if I had to live without my video games and TV and electricity.
Yes I’m the first to admit I’d not survive long on my own but I still dream of living by myself in a tropical (what else) paradise where food is plentiful and there just happens to be electricity enough to run a big screen TV and several video game systems. And by coincidence is right next to a Hostess bakery outlet.

Though I agree there needs to be an independent Palestinian state - not sure where since Gaza is nothing but a blasted wasteland - there is actually no route to “lasting peace” in the middle East, anywhere. Humans have but one purpose, to look for reasons to hurt and kill each other.
Give both sides what they want, and sure there’ll be a reduction in warlike behavior for a little while. But eventually they’ll find some other reason, some other difference, some other strip of land to battle over and it’ll be just as ridiculous and genocidal as the current situation or even worse.
We’ve all failed each other as humans from the very start. Humans have one intent, to hurt each other as often as possible. And with the invention of gunpowder, it was inevitable we’d become bloodthirsty savages delusional in our sense of being “civilized.”
Now you see what humans really are. Now the naked truth is undeniably exposed, and it’s all I need to prove that humans are not worthy of redemption or any sort of happy afterlife. Hell is the only place any of us truly deserve to be.

And I’m not afraid of having a public execution, whether they know that or not. They have no power to scare me with anything. I’m a gay man, I’m great - and I know that I am a bigger part of a greater intelligence out there. There’s nothing another human can do to take any of that away even in death. I am no one’s scapegoat, and cannot be made one.

Well it’s the truth. Look at the world and what’s going on, it’s never been any different. I was born in the late 50s, the middle east was at war even back then. Russia was a threat to the rest of the world back then also.
And it wouldn’t matter if the with refugees in Indonesia was resolved, or the Gaza strip was given back (now that it’s a total ruin) to the Palestinians. Men would soon find some other reason to go to war and kill each other. That’s what we do. We need to invent excuses to use our weapons to feel justified in splattering blood all over the planet.
Hooray for us. Can we please just have the nuclear war already and get this stupid thing over with already??
And now, an honest report on what god did. He looked down on his filthy sewage called “earth,” and saw the slimeball that was trump leading the small-minded, the bigoted, the earnestly ignorant like a pied piper down a drain of utter filth and total corruption. And for this reason, he gave humans the incentive to start using nuclear bombs to wipe our filth off the face of the planet completely for eternity.
As I said previously there’s absolutely no way anyone could force me to live a lie or pretend I’m not gay, even under threat of execution. I’d SO much rather be dead that live in a world where I have to be something I am not and live a baldfaced lie. It’s such a damn shame that Russia is such a filthy country full of small-minded bigoted assholes, when their most famous composers and writers were all gay. To spit on their own culture and their own wealth of contributions to the world -really a god damn fucking shame.
I was in Beijing and travelled west across China and over two weeks’ time, and there was no city where the population wasn’t totally overcrowded at every turn. Visiting the Great Wall was like being in Walmart here on Black Friday - no elbow room at all. And in most public spaces we were shoulder to shoulder with other people all the time. I decrease in their enormous population could only be for the better in the long run.

That’s so true! It’s kind crazy to me how many new games are in the jagged style of old arcade games (pixelated). I think the old and new all have a place in gaming, but – I can’t keep up with all the new consoles. I mean, I really don’t want to have to get a PS5. But - i don’t want to be left in the pixelated dust of yesteryear either!!
That’s a good point. I mean, why should games not be as unserious as possible? That’s one thing that always kind of bothered me about video game evolution. At first, it was this little square dot you swatted with a white “paddle”; my family bought that system and I was about eighteen.
I’ve been a video game addict since and probably have owned every system at one time. But I really hoped to see it grow in the direction of fun but other the top sim games and casual but engrossing puzzle games, not so much in the direction of let’s go shoot people and kill as many other sim-humans as we can.
Not that’s there’s anything wrong with that! I mean, I have a special love for the God of War games, but to me those are so crazy with mythological creatures and stuff that it really appeals to me more than, say, GTA type games.
I think that’s true and one reason I like SDV so much. There isn’t a lot of time spent on material gathering, and you don’t have to craft your own tools or make your own buildings. I think those things COULD be fun if they weren’t so complicated in so many sim games - I could not make heads or tails out of the crafting mechanics in “My Time at Portia,” for example. I think if you’re goingg to task the gamer with those things, they should be very easy to do, because most people don’t want to waste time on mundane chores and drawn out searches for rare materials or who knows what the game requires (in many cases I simply have no idea what the game is wanting from me!).
That’s one thing Stardew does right. But also, it gets the “labor mechanics” right; there aren’t a ton of drop down menus to navigate through, your tools are right there on the bottom tab. And also, amazingly - and astonishingly - it GIVES you the basic farm tools you need right off the bat! You can start a farm without much explanation and zero aggravation. If you need upgrades, you just pay for them and yes, there’s some material gathering to make buildings, but someone else does the actual construction. To me that’s great because then I can go fight blobs in the mines or fish or visit the other residents.
Oh sure go and be all logical about it. :/ You’re right though, and I do try to stay away from labor simulators (which is a better name for them than gaming simulators, since there’s not much fun in them if you ask me). Even Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing get very tedious doing the same chores every day all day long - maybe it’s just my adult ADHD acting up.
Well to be truthful, it feels like people DO put casual gaming in sort of a “not really serious” category. And that’s somewhat true; I don’t like overly complicated games that have tons of drop down menus you can’t even read onscreen (tiny fonts). I’ve always been more into puzzle or even sim games because there is no platforming usually (I SUCK SO MUCH AT PLATFORMING!). I love casual games because they usually are easy going, I can play for 20 minutes or an hour, it’s up to me.
I wanted to like “No Man’s Sky,” when it was finally available on the Switch (my PS4 had just died when it came out) I was elated to play it. After a couple hours of playing, I wanted those two hours of my life back. An ugly game with very little color, and absolutely no direction as to what you’re supposed to be doing, I wasted those two hours trying to figure out what the hell was going on. I absolutely hated it - the only game I ever asked for a refund on.
Oh you do that, Biden. And Netanyahu, being profoundly interested in our point of view and well known for being open minded, will surely sit down and listen respectively and take your comments into account.
Netanyahu has one characteristic; it is self-serving and that means a total bloodbath for sport. It will never change its programming. But you just go ahead and try to get this filthy piece of stinking scum to recognize it’s own fatal flaw. That will the day. That will certainly be the great day we all so fucking richly hope for.
