OP, we have received reports about the source of this post. Reviewing it, there is a good bit of libertarian and what could be considered pro-Russian propaganda elsewhere on the site, to the point it could be fairly considered an opinion blog pushing an agenda. The headline also deviates from the original source reporting. Other mods may ultimately take this down, but in the meantime please consider substituting the original article upon which this (opinion) piece was based:

I’m frustrated by so many apparently technically inclined people not understanding that certain archive sites are not great to use.

https://jarv.is/notes/cloudflare-dns-archive-is-blocked/

We don’t block archive.is or any other domain via 1.1.1.1. […] Archive.is’s authoritative DNS servers return bad results to 1.1.1.1 when we query them. I’ve proposed we just fix it on our end but our team, quite rightly, said that too would violate the integrity of DNS and the privacy and security promises we made to our users when we launched the service. […] The archive.is owner has explained that he returns bad results to us because we don’t pass along the EDNS subnet information. This information leaks information about a requester’s IP and, in turn, sacrifices the privacy of users.

This means that Archive.is and it’s various other domains (including archive.li) 1. Don’t respect privacy and 2. are effectively blocking anyone who uses CloudFlare’s DNS from viewing any of their pages (that’s me).

Please use a different archive provider, for the sake of privacy and those who respect it. Because I can’t actually view your link due to my DNS.
