And this article is all about CTV, a privately owned news organization that is struggling. Polievre has said multiple times that he’s going to gut the CBC, leaving Canadians with no good source for reporting.

It’s going to be a very sad day when we have to turn to the BBC for world news and Post Media (American owned) for local.

Nobody’s perfect, not even me.

No, but considering the levels of actual misinformation on certain subjects, from a media platform who’s stated purpose is truthful reporting… it’s a bit short of nobody’s perfect. The BBC and the CBC should be held to a higher standard. Yes, state funding for media sounds like a good way to create a propaganda machine, but it’s not like the 0.01%ers who owns most of the world’s “independent” media aren’t running a blatant agenda to sway the public to hurt themselves. And in a properly functioning democracy, state funded media is accountable to the public…
