What do you use to scan executables for viruses/malware?

I just raw dog that shit and hope for the best

me too but im on linux so i can do firejail lutris (or firejail steam or whatever for legit stuff) and run that shit in a security container.

TIL about firejail and I am excited to try it.

I’m using Linux and never really bothered scanning for viruses. Is ClamAV a good start?

You can also run a VM.

usually just upload it to virus total

A mix of avira and malwarebytes locally, and virustotal if I’m especially sceptical.

I just trust windows defender lol

Same here, the ‘only’ exe files I download are mods for Assetto Corsa, I’m hoping smart people would spot any malware 😬
