Right… and this is why Trump wanted an untraceable way to stop treasury payments… so he can just stop paying her for doing her job and see if she keeps doing it anyway. Next up: changing the locks at her workplace and changing the credentials on the VPN.

Yeah eventually they’ll make her, but it’s important not to comply beforehand in these things. First step is to continue working until they physically force you, then use whatever’s remaining of the courts if someone’s willing to pay for the lawyers.

This, to me, is perfect.

“YOU’RE FIRED BECAUSE I AM KING”

“Lol that’s not how it works” (and back to work)

When he makes up bullshit, don’t go along with it. It may or may not work. But going along with it definitely will not make things better.

Since this “article” is just two Bluesky posts and literally nothing else, I’m just going to post the contents here so nobody has to click the link:

From Ellen L. Weintraub:

(@ellenlweintraub.bsky.social, February 6th 2025 at 6:41pm EST)

Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There’s a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn’t it. I’ve been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That’s not changing anytime soon.

From Tom Moore:

(@thmoore.bsky.social, February 6th 2025 at 6:44pm EST)

(@ellenlweintraub.bsky.social) must be kept on the payroll and on the computer systems, her access to FEC HQ unimpeded. The FEC general counsel needs to do her job and enforce the Federal Election Campaign Act. She does NOT need a vote of the Commission to do so.

Anyways, nice to see someone actually not listening to this admin’s illegal orders for once. So tired of seeing people roll over and comply just because it’s easier.
