The social benefits of the current carbon rebate cannot be overstated and I wish the author had spoken about them instead of just giving a passing mention…

My income is around $16k per year so those cheques make a big difference on the “extras” I am able to afford, like dental care, eyeglasses, etc. Many of us in the lower income demographic feel the same way.
