I have a linux laptop (popos). I use lutris to launch my windows games.
I have a pdp controller for xbox. It works great with steam and legit games but does not work with games i launch through lutris, no matter if pirated or legit. Lutris recognizes the controller in the wine control panel, it just does not work in games. Another controller, also pdp, but in a different color, works fine with lutris games. What is going on here? Can i fix this somehow?

Try it without Steam running. Steam has it’s whole input remapper that will only run “desktop mode” unless you launch a game through Steam.
I always launch my lutris games without steam running
Have you tried installing any packages related to controllers?
Not really, do you reccomend any?
Not without knowing more. I would check the ArchWiki for GamePads and looking for similar packages as required.

have you tried running the games through steam? lutris has an option to add games to your steam library
Could not figure out a way to get it to work, i just use proton ge with lutris. I tried it once but the game did not even start
Ok somehow the issue is not there under proton ge version 8.14 lol
