The environmental benefits of the modern garden are not only questionable, but the concept itself has roots in colonialism and patriarchy.

Lawns are still great if you need clear lines for sight and fire for approaching enemies. Not sure quite sure how necessary it is for the 20m to the curb though…

I “rewilded” my garden last summer. Burdock took over and strangled my grapevines by the roots.

At least I got wild strawberry plant which look nice, but boy do they like to climb into my garden.

Planting clover has helped.

If only I could afford a place with a garden!
