It’s an open source project. It’s always going to be out there. I am gonna go fork the repo just for the hell of it right now.

I am not an expert but I think compatibility is the only significant downside. If your device supports it, you h265 will give you better quality at the same file size.

One thing I will also suggest is looking into https://home.tdarr.io/. It’s software that will re-encode your media to h265, saving you a lot of space. I just set it up on my synology NAS because I am at 80% storage and don’t feel like buying another drive yet.

It’s a great app. Works really well with android auto, which is how I consume most of my audiobooks.

Based on that let me recommend you “Brooklyn 99”, “The Good Place” and “Archer”.

How do you discover new content?
I love not being bombarded by ads thanks to pihole and adblockers. I don't have cable TV either. But without browsing netlifx/Hulu/etc. how do you actually find stuff to watch and discover worthwhile shows and movies to rent from my library?

And don’t forget to change the default file export size. The default is 2gb, which for me resulted in over 300 files to download and there’s no easy to way to automate it. 50gb is max which was much better for me

I have komga running in a docker container and the tachiyomi app on my tablet for comics.

Do you configure your servarr docker containers from one docker-compose file, or individual ones?
I followed trash guides to set everything up blindly and my set up is working well. But, I feel like having jellyfin in the same docker compose as my "arr" services isn't good. So, I'd be curious to see if I should split things up. I am even wondering if i should let portainer manage everything.

Interesting. Why would you want multiple version of a movie though?

I had to google IRC piracy because I couldn’t believe this was still a thing in 2023. Seems super easy to use as well. And have been hearing about ZLib. Maybe I don’t need book automation after all.

Readarr tips?
I love my sonarr and radarr setup. But readarr seems to not be working so well. Is there a guide on how to get it to be more reliable in grabbing books? And while I am at it, how do I manage audio AND ebooks?

In addition, you only download and never upload. Seeding is the ground under which torrent users are prosecuted.

Do you use koreader? I primarily want to be able to switch between reading on my phone and my kobo.

Where to get support for Actual Budget?
I am having an issue importing QFX transactions and getting a message saying "No transactions found" despite seeing 4 transactions in the file. But, I can't seem to find a place to ask for help on this. Discussions on GitHub are archived, slack is inactive and the subreddit has been locked.

I would spend more time planning and understanding docker. My setup works, but it’s kinda messy

Actual Budget looks fantastic. And they claim they’ll implement direct import soon. I need a YNAB alternative
