I wouldn’t know. All I am saying is that Syncthing would not work for this purpose.


Syncthing works on a file level basis. If files are changed on both devices at the same time, it will have sync conflicts.


There is no shortage on frontend alternatives for PC… but somehow I have yet to find anything worth mentioning for iOS



So how would that work? You can not distinguish between commercial or private use, because the traffic is encrypted, you don’t know what is transmitted, that is the whole point.


So these are blocked on a DNS Level? So just using a different DNS (like 9.9.9.9 or 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8) will get around this „block“


No. Remove the need for a server that the company provides for example.


The point is not to force them to invest into it, but to open them up if they don’t want to support them anymore.

If you are outside the UK, all you need is a DNS or VPN.


DNS filtering only gets you so far. An adblocker is still a very good addition


You underestimate what price difference is significant in some cases. If it is even a tenth of a cent cheaper, it is decided.
