I kinda just hold it all in my head and fix stuff when I notice it’s broken.

Aaah aaaaaaaaah aaaAaaaah aaaaaaaaah aaaAaaaah fuck this shit, fuck it all fuck it fuck it fuck it.

To be fair you can totally bind an arbitrary number of spaces to tab in vi. I’ll dig out the syntax highlighting file some time. Oh and I use vim really.

There are no pros to tabs. Configure tabs to a number of spaces.

I use vi without syntax highlighting.

People are touting this like it’s a good thing or something, presumably this means a 30% reduction compared to the previous staffing this would have require. 30% is a lot.

Hahahaha, you’re kidding right? I shit you not, I’ve literally seen a single line change almost cost a company £150MM during testing because “we need to test in prod because the guy we need to run the test hasn’t got access to the QA environment”

Best part was the actual change, there was a bug where a number that should’ve been divided by 100 was being multiplied by 100, the dev somehow managed to implement the fix in such a way that the number was multiplied by a further 100.

Nah, Firefox went through a buggy resource hungry slow period for sure. Chrome was miles better, I’m making the jump back. I kind of have been by default on Ubuntu, but I’ll probably switch on phone too.

There’s a world of difference between “we don’t mind if you bootleg our games if you can’t afford them” and “here, have the keys to the castle”
