Yeah I tried actually joining a Foundry game because my friends wanted to use it instead of Roll20 for our next game. We only really played two sessions on it amd it was an absolute nightnare, so many technical problems that it completely soured the experience. The first session had a TWO HOUR delay because the thing wasn’t working and had to install a bunch of addons, and then I had to install a different browser because it didn’t want to work with what I had at the moment. Pissed me off, ngl.
I’d copy my Doom and Quake folders, hoping the modern sourceports still work on them. Well, PrBoom+ and ZDoom should both work. Then all my emulators up to the 32-bit era, some music and the seasons of Kamen Rider and Ultraman that I’m currently watching.Honestly I could just bring my actual external hard drive or my HP laptop from 2013 that I installed Linux on. It’s what I got on those.
Yes, all of their games in the past few years or so have DLCs like that. What I’m actually worried about is some of their games the MTX aren’t irrelevant like these. Monster Hunter has been getting more and more of these with each new release since World and I’m scared of what they’ll do with Wilds.
The Armored Core Portable games are really good, if you can live with thr wonky controls. There’s Tekken 5 Dark Ressurrection, great port of the same.fighting game of the PS3. Gran Tourismo Portable is nice, alongside Wipeout Pure and Pulse, and Ridge Racer are all nice racing game options. And I cannot go without mentioning Monster Hunter Portable 3rd! One of the best in the series, easy to get into and has a fan translation available.
Nintendo first party titles are very stingy with sales. Many third party titles however, go on some pretty good sales with decent regularity. You might also want to make a Japan/Hong Kong/Singapore account to grab Asia-exclusive games sometimes, if those interest you.
As for the games I own and would recommend, there’s:
-BOTW
-Metroid Dread
-Dead Cells
-Hollow Knight
-Crimzon Clover: World EXplosion
-Burnout Paradise
-Fast RMX
-Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (or Rise)
-Atelier Ryza (or Sophie)
-Mario Kart
Just some general, off the top of my head recommendations. If you want recommendations of specific genres, I might be able to recommend further.
Very much so! They add a ton of content to an already pretty content-rich game, and after you have them, you’ll barely notice they weren’t part of the base game before, except maybe the Castlevania one because of the obvious difference in theme. Still, lots of quality content that adds tons of variety to your runs!
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is one that instantly comes to mind. It surprisingly still has a very active competitive playerbase, mostly comprised of slavs that have been playing it since they could read words on a computer screen. Another one that I’ve personally can’t stop playing, is the first Warhammer 40K:Dawn of War game with it’s expansions and mods. It’s just so good, and I wish a modern version with a modern engine could be made. I don’t trust Relic to do that tho.
Other than that, there’s a myriad of old console and arcade games that are still excellent. Super Metroid, SEGA Rally, shmups like Dodonpachi and Mushihimesama, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike… there are really way too many to count.
I have been able to follow all racing events I wanted for the past couple years through a few trusted restreamers that I found, sadly now, via Reddit on r/motorsportsstreams. They don’t have a community in the Fediverse yet (some of them opting for very badly managed and unmoderated Discord servers) but I hope that they do, soon. Their streams are very good and often better quality than official sources.
I’ve never played Total Annihilation or Supreme COmmander back in the day. This game is so amazing that it makes me sad that I never did. But the good thing is, I can enjoy it right now. It’s still technically in beta, but it’s already a complete game that you can enjoy, and I strongly recommend you do.
