Feeling personally attacked here… I’m coincidentally trying to get ipv6 remote to my machine working right but I don’t know what I’m doing so while everything is working by itself anything I try fails… 💀

(I don’t need help, it’s better if I learn it the hard way)

The way it was explained to me once is that the asic in the gpu makes assumptions that are baked in to the chip. It made sense because they can’t reasonably “hardcode” for every possible variation of input the chip will get.

The great thing though is if you’re transcoding you can use the gpu to do the decoding part which will work fine and free up more cpu for the encoding half.

Maybe in response to this we should all download a bunch of new music, then delete it all because it’s complete garbage.

Still has her in it though. After what Hollywood did to Johnny based on hearsay and seeing them barely do half that when it was demonstrated that she’s a crazy liar, nope.

They didn’t cut Amber out, I won’t be watching it at any price including free.

GPU decoding is the way to go, it frees up the CPU to do the encoding so you’re still cutting down time without adding GPU weirdness to the output.

Got one ready made for that but I’m not where the script is atm, I’ll post it later tonight. It can be used directly or as a gnome/cinnamon context menu script, one or many files at once.

Right wing turds like Steve tend to project really hard and never have the capacity to realize it.

Pluto, if it has what you’re after. It has commercials but it’s free so that relationship at least makes sense.

Uninstalling and reinstalling won’t delete the settings in your home directory. Sounds like you might have had a bad sector that hit that file for some reason though.
